Cybersecurity & Information Assurance

Mission

The Cybersecurity Directorate provides direction and guidance for cybersecurity policy, architecture, and resourcing to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and repudiation of Army data.

Functions

  • Develop Army Cybersecurity policies in accordance with Federal, DoD, and Army regulations and directives
  • Provide guidance on Cybersecurity requirements for emerging technologies
  • Modernize the Army's communications security (COMSEC) functions
  • Facilitate secure identity and access management for users and non-person entity (NPE) devices

  • Oversight for the integration of DoDIN, Defensive Cyberspace Operations, and Cybersecurity capabilities into the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process
  • Represent Army at executive management and DoD governance forums
  • Provide oversight to Army Cyber Workforce Development Program
  • Serve as the Army Senior Information Security Officer (SISO)
  • Providing immediate and long-term cybersecurity/information assurance (CS/IA) solutions for Army Special Access Programs (SAPs) / Sensitive Activities (SAs)
